Introduction
Adobe has a vast library of downloadable industry-standard editing software that can help with projects dealing with illustration to photo editing. Premiere Pro is Adobe’s video editing software that can help you create professional-looking video content in a snap.
Background
Adobe Premiere Pro, first introduced in 2003 is a video editing software that utilizes a timeline-based workflow. Premiere Pro is a descendent of Premiere which was originally released on Mac in 1991 and was one of the first non-linear editing systems. As a non-linear editing system, video and audio editing could be performed without altering the original material.
Compared to other video editing software on the market, Premiere Pro has a much steeper learning curve. Especially in comparison to Apple’s iMovie or even Adobe’s own Premiere Rush. This being said, if you’re looking to challenge yourself or move onto the next step beyond these beginner-level applications, Premiere Pro offers much more versatility and variety with effects and other editing capabilities.
Process
As mentioned above, Premiere Pro can appear intimidating. To aid with this, Adobe has a collection of video tutorials on its site for you to learn both the basics and advanced editing techniques.
